Rosenberg Masjid & Islamic Center
A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Worship, Community, and Service
In the early 1990s, a vision took root in the heart of Mohammed Farooq. He had acquired a piece of land—10 acres of soil—upon which he dreamed of building a masjid that would one day serve the Muslims of Rosenberg. At the time, the Muslim presence in the city was sparse, and the dream seemed distant, yet his faith remained unwavering. The dream was not just to build a structure, but to create a sacred space that would welcome worshippers into deep communion with Allah (SWT), provide a center for Islamic learning, foster community service and become a place of spiritual enrichment and unity.

Over the years, despite the delay in establishing a Muslim community in Rosenberg, small but important steps were taken to prepare the land for the masjid. A fresh water well was dug to sustain life on the property, electricity was drawn from the city, and a septic system was installed to support future gatherings. Though the Muslim population in Rosenberg grew slowly, the foundational work was quietly carried out, with hope and trust in Allah’s plan.

Today, as the Muslim community continues to grow in Rosenberg, we stand on the brink of making this long-held dream a reality. We hope with Allah's permission, the Rosenberg Masjid and Islamic Center will soon rise to become a beacon of faith and a center of unity for all Muslims in the area. It will be a place of worship, learning, and service—a home where the remembrance of Allah (SWT) is constant, where Islam and love for His Messenger (PBUH) is established, where knowledge is shared, and where hearts are uplifted.

We invite you to join us in bringing this vision to life, as we strive to fulfill the mission that began decades ago: to establish a place for the remembrance of Allah (SWT) that not only serves the needs of the Muslim community but also enriches the spiritual and communal lives of everyone it touches.
Rosenberg Masjid & Islamic Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established with the sincere intention of serving Allah (SWT), promoting Islam, and supporting the Muslim community with honesty, transparency, and dedication. Our mission is to build a community masjid with a strong foundation of trust, where worship, learning, and community service will thrive in harmony.

Guided by a 5-member board—Adil Farooq (President), Asif Farooq (Secretary), Abid Farooq (Treasurer), Mosab Abdullah (Director), and Rameez Rahman (Director)—we strive to lead with integrity and a deep sense of responsibility. We pray that Allah (SWT) accepts our efforts, grants us the strength to honor the trust placed in us, and allows our actions to be a source of His ultimate acceptance in the Hereafter.
